Case Study May 2015

Puffing Billy Railway Museum

Client: Emerald Tourist Railway Board
Project: Tourist Museum - Menzies Creek

A shed to house heritage narrow gauge locomotives and rolling stock

The brief: Situated alongside the Menzies Creek station, the Emerald Tourist Railway Board requested we design and construct a steel clad building to be used as a museum to showcase its heritage narrow gauge locomotives.

Trusteel delivers: We overcame site challenges relating to the shape of the available land and restrictions due to existing tracks by innovatively staggering the building to accommodate multiple uses.
