We’re a family business with staff who’ve worked together for years
Gerard is part of the 2nd generation of the Burmeister family now at the helm of Trusteel. He first joined in 1985 as an installer and worked through the ranks to the role of Sales Director. A registered builder he knows the ins and outs of steel design and what's required to create a shed fit for purpose. He's also pretty adept at steering customers through the permit maze. Personally, he has a love of the outdoors dividing his time between the beach and the golf course.
Brother-in-law to Michael, Chris joined the Trusteel sales team in 1999. From the banking world, Chris is a natural at organising quotes, permits and designs. Laid back but attentive, Chris goes out of his way to ensure the the team is delivering to client needs. Out of the office, Chris is watching local footy and AFL and working around the house.
Therese is sister to Michael and Gerard. Since 2003, she's been working at Trusteel Fabrications managing the company accounts. She loves being a part of the continued growth of her father's original business. Once a farmer, she also loves having a yarn with all her country-based customers. An outdoor enthusiast, Therese loves bike riding, fishing and camping with the family.
Mike is the eldest sibling of the Burmeister family. Starting in sales in 1983, he’s since moved to managing the whole production side of the business. A registered builder, he oversees quality control of materials, builds and production. Each shed under his watch is built to last the toughest of conditions. Outside of work, Mike loves cycling and staying fit.
Andrew started with Trusteel in 1999 as a welder and today wields control over the factory. With high standards, he ensures the factory is fully stocked, the equipment is in tip top condition and the orders are fulfilled to exact specifications. Outside of work you’ll find Andrew, a real family man, hitting the trail bike riding or camping in the bush.
Procurement & Production
While not officially family, Sam might as well be. Starting in 2011, Sam's responsible for purchasing and project coordination. He keeps jobs ticking along by ensuring all materials are available and where it’s meant to be. What he loves most of all is the variety of shed building projects he becomes involved in.
Gary “Gazza” White
Welder, Storeman, Truck Driver
Gazza certainly feels like family having worked at Trusteel for the last 30 plus years. Originally in the paint shop, Gazza is now a jack of all trades. He manages the storeroom, welding, loading trucks and delivering goods. He most loves getting out and about in the truck and having a chat with our customers. In his spare time, he’s pretty active, walking the dogs, running and gardening.
Olga is another one of our team members who has been with us for years, originally starting in 1997. A Structural Engineer, Olga is responsible for the drafting and design of our commercial and industrial sheds. Known for her attention to detail, she loves working for a reliable and customer orientated business. Her no 1 tip for design your own shed? Get a strong understanding of your requirements. When not working, Olga is busy travelling and reading.
Keith is our go to guy for preparing council and construction drawings. Joining us in 2007, Keith brings 40 plus years of architectural drafting experience to the job. s. He’s also our most musically talented playing drums in two pub bands and percussion for a duo.
We’ve been working with Laurie from Structure Solutions for so long now, he feels like a real part of the Trusteelfamily. As a civiland structuralengineer, he professionally reviews our shed designsto ensure they meet current Australian Building Code Designs and Standards. He is an important part of the process in ensuring our structures withstand even the toughest of conditions.
Husband to Therese, Paddy came on board back in 2003 as the prime Shed Builder. He's had a hand in building more than 700 of Trusteel’s sheds. A man of the land, Paddy has turned his hand to farming, shearing, fencing and of course building. It’s a breadth of experience that delivers well-constructed, high quality sheds, time after time. Paddy is often onsite with one of his sons.
Brad’s been with us since 1993. He originally started in the factory getting experience in the warehouse spray painting and deliveries side of the business. In 2000, he teamed up with Peter Vernon to construct our farm, commercial, equine and custom-made sheds across Australia. Together they’re known for their neat building work.
Peter was originally one of our sub-contractor builders before he officially joined us in 2000. As a registered roofing plumber and with tickets in rigging, Peter is a great addition to our team. Together with Brad, they’ve built more than 500 quality sheds across Victoria. Outside of work you’ll find Peter beachside, fishing or playing cricket.
Mark Kohn & Corey
Mark and Corey are a contracting team who have specialist trade skills perfect for Trusteel. Corey is an exceptional concreter while Mark has skills in shed construction and plumbing.
