Products

Trusteel is not a reseller of kit components, but a manufacturer in its own right. We are based in Victoria; a visit to our factory / display site in Mulgrave will demonstrate our manufacturing process and our ability to follow right through to the completion of your garage (there is no middle man).

Our quality products are listed below:

Garages

Garages have been the core of our business since we first began trading as Trusteel Garages Pty Ltd in 1976. A wide range of garage sizes are available, erected for you or supply only. We can also design to customer specifications.

The domestic garage range is made from all steel with frames utilising RHS duragal columns and rafters. Galvanised "Top Hat" roof purlins and wall girts are used for corrugated roof cladding and “K-Panel” hi tensile wall cladding with Tek Screw fixing. We also offer a “C” Purlin design.

Sizes range from 3.5m to 9m wide (inside of wall sheet to inside of wall sheet), with several size options in between. The most popular size for a "double" garage is 6m wide X 6m in length. A popular "single" garage would be 3.5m wide X 6m in length.

Our domestic RHS garages have a maximum eave height (i.e gutter height) of 3.0m. Depending on the garage width, a height clearance under the Roll-A-Door of 2.1m to 2.2m can be achieved with a standard 2.5m eave. Alternatively a bigger eave height will give greater door height clearance.

The standard roof pitch of the garage is 12 degrees or we can accommodate up to 22-degrees to match the roofline of the majority of older style Australian homes.

Verandahs

Verandahs

Trusteel manufacture, supply and erect a varied range of carports comprising Flat Roof, Gable Roof, attached to existing buildings, Zincalume or Colorbond. A wide range is available to suit your needs.

We have two types of carport designs, a Skillion Roof with a minimum 2-degree fall and a Gable Roof with a 15-degree roof pitch. Alternatively we have a “Firmlock Beam” design.

Our Skillion roof carports range in size from 2.4m to 7.6m wide with several options in between. The most popular size for a “double” carport is 6m wide x 6m in length. A popular single carport would be 3.6m wide x 6m in length. Gable Roof carports can be up to 6m in width.

The minimum standard eave height for a skillion roof carport is 2.1m on the low side, the high side will be dependent upon the overall width of the carport. Gable roof carports have a minimum eave height of 2.45m.

You are only restricted in the length of your carport by the size of your property. Generally we start at 6m in length with additional lengths as required. Up to 7.6m in length will require only 4 posts.

Dependant upon the condition of the timber fascia board of your home, we can attach one side of the carport / verandah to your house, however only for widths of up to 3.6m. This is mainly due to the significant weight that wider structures would place on the fascia. We can readily attach the carport / verandah to good quality brick walls.

Standard features include all (Fascia) guttering and downpipes.

Our Skillion Roof Carports are made from all steel with frames utilising “C’ Section rafters and beams with “Duragal” SHS posts. The roof consists of Monoclad hi tensile cladding fixed with Tek Screws. Fascia Guttering and Fascia Capping complete the trim and a downpipe takes the rainwater to the ground. Fibreglass and Polycarbonate roof sheets can be incorporated in the design of the carport upon request.

The Gable Roof Carport frame consists of “C” Section Rafters with Duragal SHS Posts. Galvanised “Top Hat” roof purlins are used for Monoclad hi tensile roof cladding with Tek Screw fixing. The standard Gable Roof carport is a roof only cover, i.e no gable infills, however we can incorporate an in-fill in the design upon request.

A full range of BHP Steel Colorbond colours or Zincalume finish is available, or a mixture of both if so desired. All Tek Screws are colour matched to the roof and flashing.

Other options include roof cover buildings for schools and for industrial applications.

Unlike other companies that stay strictly within “standard” designs, we are happy to look at unusual and odd shape requests that you may have.

We also offer a more up market and attractive alternative to our standard carport range.

This design incorporates a “Flatdeck” roof, the underside having a coated surface and “Firmlock” beams which are available in limited colorbond colours. The posts are powdercoated in matching colours giving the whole structure a neat coloured appearance. This is ideal for a verandah off the back of your house or just as a carport. Available in either Skillion or Gable Roof (15 or 22 degree pitch).

A cheaper alternative to the “Flatdeck” roof is the “Corrugated” colorbond roofing.

Farm Sheds / Machinery Sheds

The Rural Farm Sheds range in size up to 9m wide with 12m, 15m, 18m and larger sizes also available (up to 40m wide). They are designed with a "built to last" mentality from hobby to large commercial farms.

Standard eave heights for Farm Sheds range from 3.0m to 4.2m in height. Utilising Sliding Doors will achieve door height clearance of no less than 250mm below eave height.

For the domestic and rural Farm Shed range, we utilise 3.0m or 3.6m bays, however we also have a 12m wide design incorporating 4.5m bays, or alternatively 12m, 15m and 18m Commercial / Industrial designs with 6m bays.

A standard roof pitch of 10 or 12 degrees apply for a gable roof. Skillion roof Farm / Machinery Sheds are also an option.

Our rural farm shed range is made from all steel with frames utilising "C" Section columns and rafters. A feature of the Trusteel design is the 6mm thick centre connection plate that provides great strength to the frame. The frame is further bolstered utilising 16mm nuts and bolts for all connections along with a "C" Section Fascia Purlin for stability. We also offer a full range in RHS.

Galvanized "Top Hat" roof purlins and wall girts are used for "Corrugated" roof cladding with Tek Screw fixing. Buildings with an eave height up to 3.0m are clad with "K-Panel" hi tensile wall cladding. We use “Monoclad” hi tensile wall cladding for buildings with eave heights greater than 3m.

American Barns

Aussie Barns

Aussie Barns

We design, build and install American style “Raised Barns” and “Aussie” style barns which are used predominately for the housing of horses in a stable set-up.

The framework utilises Rectangular Hollow Section (RHS) and Square Hollow Section (SHS) which alleviates any open flanges and sharp metal edges. This is obviously important where animals are present.

A Barn is not just for animals however. The raised section of the barn is ideal for a mezzanine floor, giving extra storage space or use as a loft. The raised section also lends itself to mechanics requiring additional clearance height for hoists etc or for the garaging of a truck, horse float, caravan or boat.

Raised Barns have a 10-degree roof fall on the sides and a 20-degree roof pitch in the centre raised section. Aussie style barns have a 5-degree roof fall on the sides and a 30-degree roof pitch in the centre section. The raised section of the barn is supported by internal columns spaced at 3.6m / 4.0m intervals to allow sufficient room for fixing of a horse stable.

The minimum recommended lower eave height is 3.0m where stabling of horses is the primary use for the barn. Alternatively a 3.6m lower eave height will give greater door height clearance. Higher or lower side eave heights are available.

The barn range is made from all steel with frames utilising SHS (outer) and RHS (inner) columns and rafters. The frame is bolstered utilising 16mm nuts and bolts for all connections along with a "C" Section Fascia Purlin for stability. Galvanized "Top Hat" roof purlins and wall girts are used for "Corrugated" roof cladding with Tek Screw fixing. We use industrial strength “Monoclad” hi tensile wall cladding for greater strength and durability. Top hat wall girts can be substituted for “C100” as required for some stable set-ups.

We also offer an alternative option to the traditional Raised Barn. Our Vented Barn utilises all the features of the Raised Barn however, we have added important ventilation features in both the roof and eaves.

There are many different options you can utilise in designing the right barn style for you and your horses and/or your workshop requirements. These include Vented Ridge, Spin-a-way vents, fixed louver vents, Octagonal vents, Fibreglass or Polycarbonate skylights, Sisulation, 50mm Blanket foil, Polyisocyanurate Foam Roof or Wall cladding, Roll-a-doors, Sliding Doors, Glass Sliding Doors, Exit Doors and windows

We can also cater for your horse with external 50/50 doors, external 1.0m x 1.0m standard grill and “V” grill with a flat sheet hinged window.

For further information on the stable set-up, please refer to the “Horse Stables” section under products.

Trusteel have specialised our designs to suit the requirements for safe stabling of horses. We have a standard fit out of the stable or can liaise with other companies who specialise in stall fit-outs.

The standard fit-out consists of hardwood formply utilising 20mm Duragal rails and weldmesh divider on Common Walls. Front Walls and Stable Sliding Doors have an SHS grill, the Sliding Door with a 510mm gap for the horses head. The 1300mm wide door slides on nylon rollers from the top rail.
